- 02
Choose Convert to editable PowerPoint, or Convert with OCR for scanned pages.
- 03
Click Convert to PowerPoint.
- 04
Open the .pptx and edit the text, pictures and shapes on each slide.
Editable text boxes
Text is placed in text boxes where it sat on the page, so you can change the wording, restyle it or move it around.
Picture slides as a fallback
If a PDF can't be rebuilt as editable slides, you still get a deck with each page as a full-slide picture, ready to present.
Same order, ready to present
Slides follow the page order of your PDF, so you can open the file in PowerPoint, Keynote or LibreOffice Impress and start presenting.
Questions
Frequently asked
How are pages turned into slides?
Each PDF page becomes one slide, in the same order as the original document.
Why is a paragraph split into several text boxes?
PDFs store text as separate lines, so a paragraph can arrive as a few text boxes. Join them in PowerPoint if you plan to rewrite a lot of text.
Can I convert a scanned PDF?
Yes. Choose Convert with OCR and the text in your scan is recognized, so you get an editable presentation instead of pictures of pages.
How long does it take to convert PDF to PowerPoint?
Usually just a few seconds. Very large files can take a little longer.
Is PDF to PowerPoint free?
Yes. It is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermarks added to your files.
