Questions
Frequently asked
Should I choose XLS or XLSX?
Choose XLSX (PDF to Excel) for Excel 2007 or later. Choose XLS only if you or the person you are sending it to uses an older version of Excel.
Are there limits in the .xls format?
An .xls sheet holds up to 65,536 rows and 256 columns. Each PDF page gets its own sheet, so ordinary PDFs fit easily. PDFs of up to 200 pages can be converted.
Can I convert a scanned PDF?
Yes. Choose Convert with OCR and scanned figures are read before the workbook is built. Check totals afterward, since OCR can misread a digit.
How long does it take to convert PDF to XLS?
Usually just a few seconds. Very large files can take a little longer.
Is PDF to XLS free?
Yes. It is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermarks added to your files.
